Thematic contribution to the World Health Organization (WHO)
Description
Finland contributes one million euros to the World Health Organization's Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan in order to support efforts to response to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in developing countries. The objective is to restrain the further spread of Coronavirus in developing countries and to scale up the country readiness and response operations in countries with weaker capacity to identify, diagnose and treat cases. The World Health Organization has estimated that resources required globally from 1 February to 30 April 2020 will be about 675,7 million USD.
