Funding of the World Bank's Donor Funded Staffing Program
Description
The World Bank staffing program (Donor Funded Staffing Program, DFSP) aims to include Finnish know-how into the World Bank and offer Mid Career Level Specialist positios to Finnish experts. Previously, experts have been placed in the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington. With this intervention, the Sr. Education Specialist will be placed in the World Bank’s country office in Myanmar. There is one common theme for Finland's influencing work in all the development banks: enhancing education. In Myanmar, Finland supports the World Bank led sector programme “Decentralized Funding for Schools”. With the reqruitment of a Sr. Education Specialist, Finland is aiming for growing impact on the education sector in Myanmar. The main duty for a Sr. Education Specialist is to provide high quality customized analytical and advisory services. The cost estimate for a two year recruitment is approximately 900 000 euros.
