Capacity building of SENA and leadership training

Project tries to strengthen dialogue and co-operation between the leadership of teachers' union and policymakers in questions concerning the development of education. By strengthening knowhow of the leadership it is possible to make its possibilities better to impact the development of education and upbringing policy. Leadership of the union will be trained for internal and external communications and negotiations. Communications will intensify working to get more members and better operational preconditions. Training for trainers will guarantee sustainability of the project. Focal target is to strengthen civic society. Change of the basic law in Gabon in 1990 made it possible for SENA to work politically independently. It needs help to adjust role and tasks of the teachers' union to new political situation. There is structure for organisation.
