Humanitarian assistance through UNRWA to Gaza

Escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine has been building up frome early June 2014. UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees UNRWA declared emergency in the Gaza Strip on 8 July 2014 and launched a rapid response to provide the most pressing life-saving assistance. On 16 July UNRWA published a Flash Appeal for one month. The appeal covers necessary Food and Non Food Items for individuals staying at UNRWA Designated Emergency Shelters and the repair of damage to these shelters. Also essential drugs and medical supplies and psycho-social support needs during the emergency will be met.
