Central African Republic is one of the poorest states in the world and need for humanitarian assistance has enhanced after the coup in March 2013. Fights between Seleka and anti-Balaka and attacks against civilians have deepened the need for humanitarian assistance. Total of 2,5 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance including over 900 000 IDP's. WFP aims to support life-saving food and nutrition needs. Operation covers altogether 1,2 million beneficiaries and requirements January - August 2014 are 107 million USD. Total project shortfall is 88 %.
