Support to UN DPA work in Syria

UN's SG appointed Kofi Annan to Special Representative to facilitate a peaceful solution for the crisis in Syria. UN's Department of Political Affairs (DPA) supports and funds Special Representatives work. Later Kofi Annan stepped down from the position and UN considers the possibility to appoint a new special representative. UN's DPA continues its work on finding a peaceful solution for the crisis in Syria. UN DPA calls for funding to support the Inter-Agency Task Force for Syria, which is co-chaired by UN DPA and UNDP. The total request is 1 000 000 dollars of which Finland funds 150 000 euros.
