Energy and Environment Partnership in Southern and East Africa. By promoting the use of renewable energy solutions it is possible to improve access to electricity, reduce poverty and tackle climate change. The target beneficiaries include governmental actors, private sector actors, NGO's and research facilities. The programme aims to support initiatives from all sectors of the renewable energy field (inc. solar, small hydro, wind, geothermal, biofuels) as well as promote energy efficiency in the region. The model of the programme originates from Central America. The overall purpose of the programme is to promote the use of renewable energy in partner countries.
