Piloting Journalists Unions in Central Asia
Description
To begin a process that will lead to building of a journalist trade union in every three country. Applic. 2009: After a pilot phase implemented in 2007 (it was made a survey of working conditions of journalists and the state of freedom of speech of these three countries) it will be continued to support these three partners towards the founding of trade unions. Applic.2011: The aim of the project is to support the activities of the Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan trade unions that will be established by the end of the year 2010. In Kazakstan the project continues to organise education events and support regional networking. Applic 2012: Create a legal base for union activities and basics for lobbying of profession interest
