Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) advances the development of inclusive financial services for the poor people, donor coordination and methodological harmonization. The program is a successful and important forum for development of methods and coordination of actors in the field of microfinance. CGAP promotes sustainable inclusive microfinance for the benefit of the poor people, improves the effectiveness of microfinance and coordinates donors and their methodological work. CGAP has paid a lot of attention to the consolidation of current achievements, improvement in effectiveness and strengthening of developmental and equality impacts as well as efficiency within its ongoing strategy of 2008-2013. CGAP has also invested considerably in synergies between modern ICT and microfinance.
