The project proposal outlines an approach to a women’s empowerment intervention built on inclusive networks and their utility in strengthening social capital. It puts the members of the network (beneficiaries) in the center of project design by focusing on building the capacity of women’s groups in the legal and human rights aspects, economic empowerment and participation. While creating conducive conditions is necessary for empowerment to occur, the driving force of empowerment comes from within the beneficiary network itself.
