Accreditation of media representatives

The accreditation of media representatives for the #HELSINKI2018 Meeting has ended. Late accreditation requests will not be accepted.

Press conferences and photo opportunities

Attendance at possible press conferences and photo opportunities will be strictly limited.

Media representatives working at the Media Centre will be provided image signal produced in cooperation between the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). 

Journalists can watch possible press conferences related to the Presidents' meeting at the Press Conference viewing room in the congress wing of Finlandia Hall.

The Department for Communications of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in cooperation with STT/Lehtikuva will also produce photo material from the meeting(Link to another website.) (Opens New Window) for media representatives.

The Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL) offers a free travel card for representatives of the media accredited to #HELSINKI2018. The travel cards are valid from July 13 to July 18.

The host pool coverage provided by Yle is free of rights and is available locally at the media centre.

A total of 1,436 journalists have accredited to the meeting of the US and Russian Presidents in Helsinki on Monday 16 July 2018. Altogether 61 countries submitted accreditation applications.
