Unit for EU Litigation
The Unit for EU litigation is responsible for:
- the representation of the Government of Finland before the courts of the EU
- the submission of the Government’s observations on formal notices and reasoned opinions delivered by the Commission in cases concerning Finland
- the coordination of Finland's views in EU litigation and pre-litigation procedures
- the provision of information on EU litigation and pre-litigation procedures concerning Finland
- institutional and procedural questions relating to the courts of the EU
- the submission of the Government's reports to Parliament on measures taken in EU litigation and pre-litigation procedures
- the maintenance of records of EU litigation cases
- the submission of notifications to the Commission concerning the national implementation of directives.
