Sanna Immanen appointed as Press Officer to Tallinn

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has appointed Sanna Immanen as Press Officer to the Embassy of Finland in Tallinn. The three-year term starts on 1 August 2020.

Sanna Immanen’s previous post was as head of the Finnish branch office of the Estonian Institute. She has also worked as Managing Director of the Association of Estonia Societies in Finland, lecturer at the University of Helsinki, and representative of Finland at the University of Tartu. In addition, Immanen has a long employment history as a translator and content producer.

Her diverse work experience, thorough knowledge of Estonia and relevant networks, combined with her skills in communications and team work, ensure the varied qualifications required for the post.

The Press Officer's duty is to use communication, culture and other means of promotion to advance Finland's objectives and country brand among the key target groups in Estonia. The aim is to present Finland as an even more attractive cooperation partner in different fields.

In addition, the Press Officer fosters broad contacts with the Estonian media and international correspondents posted to the country. The tasks also include cooperation with the Finnish Institute in Estonia.
