Poland’s Foreign Minister to visit Finland

The Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz will visit Finland on 12–13 February 2020.

During his visit, Minister Czaputowicz will meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto and President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö. The Minister will also pay a visit to Parliament.

The main objective of the visit is to intensify dialogue on key foreign and security policy matters and to promote the countries’ bilateral commercial and economic cooperation and collaboration in matters concerning the European Union. The Foreign Ministers will exchange views on questions related to Russia and Ukraine, the rule of law, the Baltic Sea and Arctic cooperation, for instance.

The Ministers will also attend an event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Finland and Poland, co-hosted by Piotr Rychl, Ambassador of Poland to Finland, and Jussi Nuorteva, Director-General of the Finnish National Archives.
