Norwegian Foreign Minister to visit Finland
Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide in Helsinki on 29 April.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between the countries and topical regional issues, including European security cooperation and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The meeting will also focus on current NATO issues and the situation in the Middle East.
“Finland and Norway have excellent, close relations, which have become even closer following Finland’s NATO membership. The Nordic countries are our most important allies, and it is useful to be able to exchange views on topical foreign and security policy issues,” says Foreign Minister Valtonen.
During his visit to Finland, Minister Eide will also meet President of the Republic Alexander Stubb.
