Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland to visit Finland

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir will visit Finland on 29–30 March and have a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto.

In their meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss, among other things, topical foreign and security policy questions and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Finland and Iceland.

“Iceland is a close partner for Finland. I look forward to an interesting exchange of views with Foreign Minister Gylfadóttir,” Minister Haavisto says.

During her visit, Foreign Minister Gylfadóttir will also have a meeting with President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö and Speaker of Parliament Matti Vanhanen.
